چکیده

Kinetic vision acuity (KVA) is an index developed in Japan that refers to the capacity recognize a moving object moves back and forth against observer. This review outlines history of KVA studies on conducted at Faculty Health Sports Science Juntendo University, i.e. characteristics athletes, factors associated with KVA, sports age-dependent decline effects docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) astaxanthin KVA. was defined early 1960s, measurement device invented 1968. Studies began 1990s. In track-and-field athletics skeleton, winter downhill event, higher-ranked athletes had higher than lower-ranked athletes. Although cannot be predicted from static visual or reaction time, significant correlation found between peak latency visual-evoked potentials. could not improved by training did change age 8 17 years. contrast, habitual practice kendo may inhibit DHA also improve subjects low KVA; however,

new definitions of kinetic visuAl Acuity And kinetic visuAl field And their Aging effects

In recent years, senior citizens account for over 50% of all traffic fatalities, and accident location analysis reveals that over 50% of fatal traffic accidents occur at intersections. One conceivable reason for the high rate of fatal traffic accidents at intersections and in their vicinities, and the high percentage of senior citizen deaths, is their relationship with basic vision properties, ...

Kinetic visual acuity and reaction time in male college students

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between kinetic visual acuity and reaction time in college students. Eighteen male college students, mean age: 21.5±2.2 years, participated in this study. Static and kinetic visual acuity and simple and choice reaction time were measured. In addition, visual evoked potential using pattern reversal stimulus was recorded. These items w...

Visual acuity and excitement.

Viewed within the framework of activation theory, individuals with low visual acuity might conceivably be seen as persons with low preferred levels of activation who seek to reduce stimulus input in order to maintain activation at their preferred level. It was hypothesized, therefore, that persons with low visual acuity would demonstrate less receptivity to environmental stimulation than highac...

Visual Acuity Before and After Occlusion Therapy in Children and Adolescents (Aged 5-13 years) Amblyopia

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of occlusion therapy on visual acuity in children and adolescents (aged 5-13 years) with amblyopia. Methods: This experimental study followed a pretest-posttest design. Totally, 72 people with amblyopic eyes (visual acuity between 20/100 and 20/25) were selected through convenient sampling. The visual acuity was assessed at 1, 3, and 6 months after starting occlu...
